Which manicure service is best for me?

  • Nails are cleaned and shaped, any dead cuticle skin is removed and the surrounding skin exfoliated. For bare nails looking for luxury care. If you have existing product that needs to come off, please book a removal service as well.

  • Nails are prepped and shaped before gel polish is applied and hardened under a UV/LED light creating an instantly dry and glossy finish that flexes with your natural nail. Offers chip-resistant, low-maintenance wear. For short-term decoration on your natural nails, such as for a special occasion or a vacation, choose a Gel Manicure. This is gel polish only. Depending on various factors such as your nail growth, lifestyle, etc., this can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks and at your next appointment, the old color will be removed and reapplied. This maintenance service is a Gel Manicure + Return Removal.

  • For returning gel manicure clients. Prior gel color is removed, nails cleaned up, and your color is refreshed for the next cycle.

  • If you’re looking to add strength to your natural nails and you’re willing to maintain that strength with regular fills, choose a Builder Gel Manicure. Builder gel adds a layer of structured support on top of your natural nail before your color goes on. It’s great for supporting thin, flexible, or damaged nails or helping nails grow longer without breaking. Maintenance appointments are recommended every 2-4 weeks are recommended to maintain the strength and integrity of your nails. This maintenance appointment is called a Builder Gel Fill. If it has been 4+ weeks since your last appointment, a Builder Gel Rebalance maintenance service is required to compensate for the additional product needed to offset the shift in weight distribution caused by the new growth.

  • If it has been 2-4 weeks, please select a Builder Gel Fill. Going longer than 4 weeks shifts the weight distribution of product further toward the edge of your nail, making lifting and breaks more likely and requiring additional product on the new nail growth. If it has been more than 4 weeks since your last appointment, please select a Builder Gel Rebalance.

  • Full-cover soft gel extensions are applied over your natural nails and adhered with gel that cures under UV/LED light. You get the strength of gel and the length of an extension in a lightweight, natural-looking set. Maintained with a Gel Extension Refresh every 2 to 3 weeks (fill) or a Gel Extension + Return Removal (new set) at 3 weeks and beyond.

  • For existing extension clients returning at the 2 to 3 week mark, a Gel Extension Refresh maintains your existing extensions, fills in the new growth using builder gel, and refreshes your color so everything looks seamless and new. For clients 3 weeks and beyond, or for those ready to start fresh, a Gel Extension + Return Removal appointment fully removes your current extensions and a new set is applied in the same appointment.

Removals and Repairs

  • Complete removal of all product using an electric file and acetone soak where needed. Includes light shaping of your natural nails. Book this if you're ready to take a break from product or want to start fresh before booking a new service.

  • If your existing product was applied somewhere other than The Nail Nest, this add-on covers the extra time and care needed to remove it safely. Different salons use different products and application methods, so this ensures enough time is taken to prevent damage to your natural nail.

  • For a broken, missing, or lifted nail between appointments. Repairs are quick and matched to your existing set as closely as possible. Additional nails or art may add time and cost.

Add-Ons

  • IBX is a penetrating treatment that works inside the natural nail to strengthen and repair from within. It is applied before your gel and cures under the lamp. Especially helpful for thin, peeling, or damaged nails. One of the most underrated things you can do for long-term nail health.

  • A nourishing hand treatment added to any service. Includes exfoliation, a hydrating mask, and massage. A small indulgence that makes a real difference, especially in dry Pacific Northwest winters.

  • For extension clients who want extra length beyond the standard. Adds time for shaping and structural work to make sure the longer length is supported properly.

  • For appointments booked outside of regular studio hours. Applied automatically at checkout.

Nail Art

  • Single-technique nail art including chrome powder, cat-eye, polka dots, and stickers. Clean, fresh, and always elevated. This is the same art on every nail or a solid color plus 1-2 nails with the same Tier II design.

  • More involved nail art including French tips, custom cat eye, cat-eye over chrome, gems, or combinations of Tier I techniques. A put-together, trendy set with repeated designs across multiple nails.

  • Advanced nail art techniques including freehand marble, tortoiseshell, isolated chrome, and 3D elements. These sets take time and attention, with art on every nail delivering a truly special result. Send design inspiration if you’ve got something special in mind.
